3 Words That Ignite Change

Updated: Jun 7, 2021

It’s human nature to look to your past to determine what you can do today. But it’s simply a thinking habit, because if you didn’t like your past results, you’ll get stuck in a negative spiral of self-talk that doesn’t support the vision you are holding for your life now.

There are 3 very important words, that I’ve learned from my mentor Mary Morrissey, to tell yourself when that inner voice shows up that wants to tell you what is possible for you based on your past.

They are, “Up until now.”

Let’s say you want to accelerate your business results, but you feel like there is a glass ceiling on the success you’re creating. Circumstances that show up or situations that seem to repeat themselves are getting in the way. When you consider the results you would love to have, I can pretty much guarantee that the little voice of your paradigm is going to pop up that says something like, “It’s impossible to see the growth I once thought I could achieve.” Or “Considering all I’ve been through, maybe I should lower my expectations.”

If you believe that voice, you’ll create more of the same. So you want to interrupt this negative self-talk and say this, “Up until now, that may have been the case, but now I am creating a new experience.” And then state what you are creating.

Beliefs are the starting point of our results. If you don’t like your results, you need to first look to your beliefs, and make some changes.

I’m here to support you! Let’s have a strategy session together where we get you on the road to living the life you love living!
